The meetings, which are held quarterly, enable members of the public to participate in the decision-making process by bringing issues for discussion, contributing to debates and questioning officials and elected members.

Matt Costello, Community Partnership Manager, said: "We want to hear the voices of our local communities, and the community matters section on the agenda allows local people the opportunity to voice issues of concern.  There will also be a partner organisations attending to discuss community safety, and representatives from the NHS will also be there."

The partnerships cover a variety of topics from community safety to roads and transportation issues, from local NHS issues to the progress of the Local Development Programme.

Each LAP covers a variety of topics from community safety to roads and transportation issues, from local NHS issues to the progress of the Local Development Programme.

The LAP meets four times a year throughout North Lanarkshire.
