Are you interested in learning Gaelic?

Residents of North Lanarkshire are being encouraged to expand their knowledge and experience a new language.

Free classes are now available throughout the area for residents to learn the Gaelic language in a relaxed and fun environment.

They are aimed at all ages and levels from those who have never spoken the language before to enthusiasts who want to improve their fluency and conversation.

Convener of Learning and Leisure Services, Councillor Jim Logue said: "The Council has an on-going commitment to providing Gaelic education to the people of North Lanarkshire.

"These classes will ensure that we are playing our part in securing the status and future of the language in Scotland."

Morning, afternoon and evening sessions are available in various locations including Victoria Primary School, Airdrie and the Village Hall, Cumbernauld.
