North Lanarkshire Council's Local Homes Energy Team was formed in 1996. Our team provides a service to both council and privately owned housing. We use contractors to carry out installation work to houses.

Before we begin a project, we will write to householders in the area to let them know about the project. We will ask homeowners if they want to take part. Neither our staff nor the contractor 'cold call' on doorsteps.  Our staff will can be identified by photographic identity cards.  You should always ask to see a person's ID before allowing them to enter your home.

Our current Home Energy Efficiency Programmes Scotland (HEEPs) projects are:

  • Cumbernauld;
  • Coatbridge; and
  • Motherwell.
