Ceremony Suites - Motherwell

Motherwell steel fired by Wishaw coal, has taken part in engineering adventures the world over and it was, perhaps, in the natural process of things that two sister towns linked together by so much industry common to both, should amalgamate

Motherwell and Wishaw Registration District came into being in 1967. Previously both towns were separate registration districts known as Dalziel and Cambusnethan respectively.

The registration office is situated within the Civic Centre headquarters of North Lanarkshire Council. The entrance to the office is on Windmillhill Street on the main Wishaw, Bellshill Road, easily accessible via the M74 motorway. Motherwell railway station is a short taxi/bus ride away and there are bus stops located on both sides of the road outside the Civic Centre.

Our large ceremony suite, which has been refurbished, offers air conditioning and spacious accommodation for the principal party and 50 guests.  The small ceremony suite is ideal for the more intimate ceremony. Parking is permitted for two principal party cars at the front of the main entrance - this can be accessed by using the Emergency Vehicle entrance.

Guests attending a civil ceremony are permitted to use the general car park to the rear of the building.

Following your ceremony photographic opportunities can be found in the newly refurbished gardens at the Civic Centre and also at various locations including The Duchess of Hamilton Park and Belhaven Park.
