We are currently reviewing the following sites for future projects:

Purchases off-the-shelf

As part of our Affordable Housing Policy, developers are required to provide either houses or a financial contribution to help support the provision of affordable homes in areas of high demand.

In line with the Affordable Housing Policy, we are proposing to purchase the following homes directly from private developers: 

• 75 homes from Bellway Homes at South of Forest Road, Cumbernauld (Community Growth Area)

• 22 homes from Allanwater Homes at Gartferry Road, Chryston

Development Pathfinder Scheme

We have recently introduced our new development pathfinder scheme, which allows us to purchase new affordable homes directly from private developers.

In addition to providing new and affordable homes, our scheme is supporting our economy, the construction industry and securing local jobs.

All new homes in North Lanarkshire are built to our high-quality standards, meeting required accessibility and sustainability requirements. We are currently in the process of purchasing homes at the following sites:

• 39 homes from ML5 Limited at the former DWP offices, South Circular Road, Coatbridge

• 23 homes from O'Brien Properties Limited at Prospecthill Road, Ravenscraig

• 18 homes from Barratt Homes at Calder Gardens, Carnbroe, Coatbridge
