Think Local

We are urging North Lanarkshire residents to help our communities thrive by keeping local businesses alive.

Think Local - Shop, Eat, Love

Our town centres have now reopened and they need our support more than ever. Once again, alongside local authorities across Scotland, we are asking residents to 'Think Local'.

Scotland Loves Local

Local businesses have suffered terribly over the last 18 months and cannot survive without customers. Please think of shopping locally, eating locally - meeting friends and family in local cafes, bars and restaurants. Not only will this help your community to bounce back more quickly, it will also keep you and your loved ones safe.

The pandemic isn't over yet and we must remain vigilant. Meanwhile recovery plans are underway. We are cautiously optimistic that, despite the numbers of people with the infection remaining higher that we would like, it's safe and prudent to focus our efforts on economic and social recovery.

In the longer term there are big plans afoot to improve our town centres. Learn more about our Town Visions; the first round of consultations has closed but plans are underway for a second round so keep an eye on our website for details.
